camping this summer. It's going to be gnarly, we just need to figure out what is going on. Matt and I talked and said that it's not too expensive to rent a car and camp somewhere, possibly for like a long weekend, split between five people (that fit in the car), and then campsites are usually really cheap. I was thinking of camping maybe in Kentucky and doing something cool, perhaps.
It'd be awesome, we could even stop at one of the many waffle houses on the way. so, let me know what is up.
the deal with me is.. 1.) my family and I are going to Myrtle Beach, SC.
2.) I might be visiting Kyle in Italy for like a week or something.
3.) Kaylee is going to be in Jersey soon.. and yeah. summer isn't getting any longer.

Here is the deal, this Saturday (May 14th), I am doing a Make-a-Wish foundation walk at the Detroit Zoo. The only problem is that I need to raise atleast $125 for this event. I have already signed up to walk, so this isn't a well maybe I'll do it, or maybe I won't. It is more of I have and want to do it.
So, here is what I ask from you. Some sort of donation, $5 would be a lot, seeing $125 isn't a lot to raise, but by Saturday, the pressure is cooking! So, please help me out, and some child that has a life-threatening illness and donate something, some spare change. Just something.
Contact me at 248-860-4697.

I got me a buddy from Jap class and his band is having a few more shows home before they go on tour for the early summer months :)
This Thursday, they are having a show at 15 and Utica (he's from Shelby Twp.) that has a few other local bands that are pretty cool. If you want to check them out first, hit em up at http://www.purevolume.com/DesignedByYou
I'll be there. If you want to come, let me know ;)
And the HOEDOWN is this weekend :) WHOOOP!! Let's go hoeing!

|Saturday, April 30th, 2005|
Although next Sunday is Mother's Day, if you want in on a good time ditch the breakfast in bed bit, and come get your Mexican-ness on at the Cinco de Mayo parade/festival which is happening this year on May 8th, weird, huh!?
More information can be found at this site: http://www.mexicantown.com/home.htm
anyone can come and there should be tons of events (if you look at the site it says what is what, when, where, and how much (a lot of free things) ranging from May 1st or so to the 8th.
( the rest..Collapse )
first L-hop gathering since the community has started, p.s. it's okay to warn your friends about this community, it would be a good time!

Well, it won't be an official L-hop gathering but (well, it might be)..
Taqueria Lupita's (best known as Lupita's; so it's like an l-hop)
Saturday, April 30th
1 p.m. or so.
cheap food, good friends and yeah, if you enjoy mexican food, you'll LOVE Lupita's.
A little run down on Lupita's: you can be stuffed full for about $4-$7, which is totally cheap. Their tacos don't come with the fixings (like cheese, tomatos, sourcream and all of that stuff), I don't think that those are "traditional" Mexican taco fixinigs. Their food isn't spicy, as many think that Mexican food is, but it doesn't need the spice to be good because they have great food. Whatever you do, get their rice and beans, because they make the meal definitely. To drink I would recommend the Jamica (pronounced ha-mike-ah) or the Horchata (pronounced or-cha-ta); they're both pretty good.
After Lupita's I was thinking of taking a trip down to the Mexican Town bakery, which has TONS of delicious baked goods for extremely cheap (I got a cookie bigger than my face, and three other cookies for under $3.00).
The drive isn't long really, but the weather isn't going to be good.
If you're interested in coming... I guess leave a comment!?
p.s. I figured that everyone could join l-hop and have it as like a posting website for things that are going around in the neighborhood. Know of a party? Why not post it here? Want to go out for dinner this weekend? Post it here, kiddo. Need help studying or just want to crab a coffee? We're all friends anyways, so yeah. It just makes sense. Current Mood: creative
